Meditation is Easier Than You Think: Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

I don’t know much about Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. I connected deeply, on some soul-brother shit, with a man at a party in Puerto Escondido this New Years. When I expressed my struggles with maintaining a meditation practice, he recommended I check out Rinpoche.

I haven't dedicated much time yet, but I can already tell that Rinpoche is providing value to my meditation approach. He simplifies the practice, takes some pressure off and brings a sense of humor with his delivery.

Here’s a tasters, all coming from his book The Joy of Living: Unlocking the Secret and Science of Happiness

“Any daily activity can be used as an opportunity for meditation.”

“Use what might ordinarily seem to be distractions as support for resting your mind."

“When you integrate [informal] practice into your daily life, you avoid the trap of being calm and peaceful during formal meditation and then turning around and being tense and angry at the office.”

Below you will find links to a few Rinpoche resources. If you come across any additional sources of information, please let us know. This is a community effort. Love you, have a wonderful week!
