Passively listening in Brooklyn

I went to a party and it felt like the majority of the crowd spent more time chatting than dancing.

It made me think about this concept of "passive listening."

Everyone pays the same price to enter the party, you get to experience it however you'd like.

I went with the intention to get lost in sounds and found it difficult in this environment.

This is a little ramble about the experience.

I'd love to chat about this with anyone who has feedback, similar experiences, etc.
