SLOTH - The club is OPEN
After lingering around in the deep tech minimal space, I am finally trying to see the light—an in between space where people appreciate the sound profile around familiar elements.
This track represents a success.
Played in a room full of hip-hop, bass music peeps, and boom—the whole room fell silent and paid attention to the track. A surreal moment of acceptance from people outside of the tribe. A deep tune that just rings the right melancholic bells while still driving and remaining a dancefloor tune. I hope to close a party with this track one day and leave people going home with this memory.

Tiger & Woods - Kissmetellme [Running back]
A funky, groover from 2011, this one will get you moving-- no matter what state of mind you are in.
The carefully-crafted loopy, mesmerizing sampling of vocalist, Simon Wallace, on the 1985 hit from UK Gospel 'Clarity - The Way U Make Me Feel' puts listeners into a bouncy trance.
At a Valentine's day party, just as the pandemic was ending in February 2022, there was a magical moment for me mixing this track, into 'Crush Club, LP Giobbi - O Retha'. You could feel the pure ebullience -- an indescribable state of euphoria in the underground, secret Chinese restaurant turned nightclub that was The China Gourmet (1977-2024).

Mano Le Tough - An Hour In The Morning [Maeve]
This track is pure emotion.
The way it hypnotizes and spirals you into feeling is very unique. It takes such a long time to evolve, yet every moment holds your attention.
If nautical dawn had a sound, this would be it.
Some of my most magical moments while DJing have been playing this track at that time of the morning when the night starts fading away, the sky starts to glow deep blue, and you can feel the cold on your skin.

Michael Cassette - Ghost In The Machine [Anjunadeep]
To celebrate the return of Michael Cassette to Anjunadeep with their (its a duo behind this alias) recent release "Knight Rider" - I am going to share one of my favorite tracks of all time - ‘Ghost In The Machine.’
It was released almost 15 years ago as a part of the Michael Cassette's debut artist album "Temporarity", also released on Anjunadeep.
The whole album is a masterpiece and it played a pivotal role in shaping my music taste back in the days. The track represents a finest blend of progressive house and synthwave, with a melancholic touch. I mostly listen to it while traveling and taking time to self-reflect.

syml - Breathtaker (Live at Hangar 30)
This entire series is magical, however, Breathtaker holds a special place in my heart.
An invitation to step away from club music for a moment and rinse your soul with a deeply touching beauty.
That part at 1:25 always fills me with hope and inspiration.
Sometimes with tears.
If you enjoy this one, check out the entire Live at Hangar 30 set.
