Introducing Michael Singer

I first learned heard about Michael Singer when a very special friend gifted me The Surrender Experiment. To be honest, I never finished the book. That’s not because of lack of substance, that’s due to my inability to focus. Either way, I gained a lot of direction from this book, which I can sum up in this quote.

The seeds of a great experiment were being planted. Was it possible that life had more to give us than we could ever take for ourselves?
— Michael Singer, The Surrender Experiment

When I read this, I was just starting to become curious about this concept of surrender. What does it mean? How do you practice this? To this day I’m practicing trusting the Universe and surrendering. It’s working.

After dabbling with The Surrender Experiment, my Dad recommended another piece by Michael Singer - The Untethered Soul. Oooooooof this book is fire. Same story, I didn’t finish reading it, but I don’t finish reading anything. I highly recommend this book for anyone who gets turned on by the following quote.

There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind - you are the one who hears it.
— Michael Singer, The Untethered Soul

Goodness me, I’m still processing this one. As I write this, I’m feeling inspired to pick this book up again. This single quote changed my life forever. Singer certainly isn’t the only one to bring this realization to the surface, but his delivery is what stuck for me.

Thanks for the guidance Michael, you’ve inspired me and many others!
